Q: Can I put a 67 mustang fastback shell on a fox body frame?
If not, what would a 67 mustang body fit on best? Thanks.
A: Both cars are UNI-BODY construction so you can not interchange the frames BUT you can upgrade the 67 with COMPONENTS from the Fox Body. You could bolt the 5.0 which = 302 CI and use the front suspension and braking system. You could use the rear axle and trans also, it would take a bit to do but if you have a donor car you could swap a lot over, these kind of conversions are done all the time. Check with a Mustang restoration shop they have conversion kits for these.
Q: Where can i find a ‘65 or a ‘67 mustang fastback?
This is going to be my first car and i was wondering if anyone has or knows someone that has either a 1965 or a 1967 ford mustang fastback with a 289 and manual. If it is a little banged up its ok because i was wanting it to be kind of a fixer upper to work on. And if it is pretty cheap that would be good also. Thanks
A: What wrong with a 66, same as 65, and the 68 is the same as the 67… that said, they are not easy to find because everybody wants one and with the law of supply and demand that makes them very expensive, running cars in any condition go for over 10 grand… Parts car bring $5,000 to $10,000 depending on how much rust they have.. best place to find one is from a neighbor or around town. watch craigslist but everybody does..maybe you have local ads..
It’s a heck of a car to start out with and the insurance will be expensive..
Q: How do the 66 and 67 mustang fastback grill look?
Like how are they different? Can you please post a link on pics?
Thanks
A: totally different as the cars are totally different. the 66 shares the 64 and 65 design the 67 shares the 68 design for the most part. check hemmings on the net for what you want to see.
Q: Would I have to cut the wheelwells of my 67 mustang fastback to fit 18″ Saleen Rims?
Also, How difficult would it be to drop in a 32valve 4.6? Is there a kit for this swap? Electronic harnesses? Trans issues?
A: ask our group
Q: Does any one know were i can find a 67 mustang fastback for around $3000?
i have been looking for a 67 fastback in good condition with an engine for around $3000 n from time i can fix up and have it looking like beauty…a good project car for a 17 year old…
A: I can find them all day long for you if you do not want engine/tranny/ fenders, seats and other related items and if you are willing to replace torque boxes and floor pans.. If you want all that stuff it’s gonna set you back way more than three g
F.W.I.W. that was one of the MOST popular Mustangs built.
Q: where can i buy a 67 mustang fastback car kit?

Q: Is it possible to put a GT500 engine into the ‘67, ‘68, or ‘69 mustang fastback?
I am going to be buying an older mustang soon. I would like to put the biggest engine I can into it. A friend of mine said the ‘67 fastback was the best choice. I dont know a lot about older mustangs yet. Im trying to find out the differences in the fastbacks from ‘67 to ‘69.
A: It is indeed possible since the GT500 WAS a ‘68-’69 bodystyle fastback, and since all available engine options for that model mustang use a standardized 4 bolt main mounting system. the changes to the mustang between ‘64 1/2- ‘69 were minor and mostly asthetic, these “body-style” changes occured as follows, 64 1/2- ‘65, then a change for ‘66- ‘67, and then again for ‘68- ‘69.
Q: when changeing a 67 fastback mustang to duel exhaust do you have to drill holes for the new hangers?
A: The 1967 Fastbacks with the Bigger V-8 had a special dual exhaust muffler that hung up behind the rear end. It wasn’t great for performance but it was original and looks great. I bet someone makes a performance version of the same.
Anyway, there are plenty of mounting places that do not need new holes. Please, do not drill into that body.
Oh, by the way. It doesn’t have a frame. (but you already know that), only a partial subframe.
I had a 1967 with a 427.
I was little different it was a G class altered, back in the day…

Q: What does the 2+2 of the 67 mustang fastback mean?
I keep seeing 67′ Mustang Fastback 2+2 For Sale in my search for a project car. But what does the 2+2 mean?
Thanks Bobby C. Yeah I figured it was a simple answer but it just wasn’t clicking. Thanks again.
Well after having conflicting answers given I decided I’d do some more research when I wasn’t sure if Bobby C or Paul M was correct. But in the end Bobby C. you are correct. And Paul M. I don’t know how you managed to pull that out of your ass. The Mustang GT Models recieved dual exhaust and a limited slip rear differential. (Positraction?) I take it your a chevy man
A: Simple it means a four seater 2front2rear.
Q: How much does it cost to restore a 67 mustang fastback?
I wanted to know how much it would cost to restore a 67 mustang fastback, i know the body and frame with no paint would cost about 3000 dollars, but i wanted to know how much it would cost for the engine, and EVERYTHING else
I want to do it myself.
I know just the frame and engine, and tires and messed up body will cost about 3000, but can i paint it and get breaks, trans, and everything else for about 6 or 7000 more??
i dont want it to look like a show car,
but i want it to look good,
for people to say oooooo niceeee.
A: $20,000 to get it on the street. If your 289 is stock, then cheaper by $5,000. But if you go with a 302 – 390, and do it right, add the extra $5,000.
Q: all right i am 13 and i want to now how much is a 67 mustang fastback cost and is there cheap in ill?
A: The question is too vague. There are many answers.
A junker could be less than $1000 but a frame-off restored one could be over $100,000. The condition of the car makes all the difference.
Q: Were can you find a 67 fastback mustang for sale?
A: Try looking around local newspapers first so you can actually drive out and test drive the car and inspect it. Ebay is good but pictures are not always accurate, be careful for rust buckets. Craigslist is also a good search look around and compare prices because fastbacks are high in price.
